H61/74B - Open Style "Strip" (Two Inline) Tuners, Complete Set for Höfner V62 Basses (also used on some Höfner Cavern reissues) - Complete set of two strip tuners, four bushings and mounting screws. Many have asked about installing these tuners on a Höfner V63 or V64 bass. The answer to this question will require some careful measuring on your part. The axles on these strip tuners are spaced 1 55/64" (a little less than 1 7/8") center to center. Carefully compare this measurement to the center to center tuner spacing of your V63 or V64 bass. The tuner shaft diameter is slightly under .25” at ~15/64” and the bushing outer diameter is ~3/8.” Also note that the screw mounting positions on these strip tuners are different than the indiividual tuners installed on V63 and V64 basses. This will require that new mounting holes be drilled if installing into a V63 or V64 headstock. These do not fit the Höfner Icon, Ignition or Contemporary Beatle Basses.
